Auckland Boat Show

Details: Kicking off this year of boat shows in the Southern Hemisphere is the Auckland Boat Show. While not technically held in Australia, the show offers an incredible opportunity to immerse yourself in the latest developments in the marine space. You’ll get a look at the newest models of sail yachts, luxury motor yachts, parts and accessories, and more on Auckland’s iconic waterfront.
Just a few weeks away, there’s still time to plan your visit and celebrate the end of summer, as the boat show is part of Moana Auckland, New Zealand’s Ocean Festival. Event organizers anticipate it to be one of the most-attended Auckland Boat Shows in history. Feel free to make it a family outing, as children under 16 can attend for free.

2025 Offshore Superboat Championships – Round 3
When: 15 – 16 March, 2025
Where: Corio Bay, Geelong, Victoria
Details: Thrill seekers — mark your calendars. Round 3 of the 2025 Offshore Superboat Championships is returning to Geelong this March. Over the course of the weekend, you can see up to six different races. Participants will battle head-to-head to find out which is the fastest racer as they reach speeds of up to 240 kilometres per hour.
Attendance is free, so don’t miss out on checking out this adrenaline-filled event. But, if you do have to skip out this time, Round 4 is happening the following month in Port Adelaide, South Australia.

South Australian Wooden Boat Festival

Where: Riverport of Goolwa, South Australia
Details: For over three decades, the South Australian Wooden Boat Festival has celebrated the city’s rich culture and history of river boating and boatbuilding. This year, you can get in on the action yourself and enjoy a unique maritime experience on the Murray River.
From incredible wooden boat displays to sailing competitions and delectable local cuisine, this two-day festival has something for everyone. Hutchwilco New Zealand Boat Show

Details: Back down south, the Hutchwilco New Zealand Boat Show is the country’s largest and longest-running. The event showcases the newest boats, engines, and accessories for you to browse, plus a vast array of fishing gear for avid anglers.

2025 Sydney International Boat Show
When: 31 July – 3rd August, 2025
Where: ICC Sydney and Cockle Bay Marina in Darling Harbour
Details: As Australia’s largest boat show, the Sydney International Boat Show will feature over 200 exhibitors and more than 600 boats – building on the success of the 2024 edition.
This will include luxury yachts, powerboats, and marine accessories. Attendees can explore interactive exhibits like the Discover Sailing and Paddling Hub, live fishing demonstrations, and the Shimano Fishing Tank Show. The event will also host presentations on boating safety and sustainability.

Perth Boat Show

Details: The Perth Boat Show is Western Australia’s celebration of all things boating and marine lifestyle. It’s an amazing event where new boaters and seasoned sailors alike can come together to check out new-model vessels and the latest boating gear and technology, all under one roof.
